About ReSource
Helping Nonprofits
ReSource is very proud of the work we are able to do.  We look at ourselves as being the behind-the-scenes player in helping the many people and needs served directly by our members.  By purchasing office supplies and equipment at a fraction of the market costs, nonprofits can spend more of their hard-earned money meeting the needs of their constituents.

Helping the Community
Organizations that benefit from ReSource's mission can be identified as follows:

Arts: 4%
Education: 12%
Religious: 25%
Housing/Rehab: 8%
Social Services: 40%
Youth: 11%

Office equipment and supplies that ReSource has placed have been used in activities that range from GED classes to sunday school classes and from board meetings to counseling sessions.  We are constantly surprised and pleased by how many ways items we place are used to serve the community.

Helping Business
For the business that is moving, right-sizing, or just making some changes and does not know what to do with the still usable office equipment, ReSource is just the answer.  ReSource is a nonprofit, in-kind donation clearinghouse that works closely with area businesses to help charitable organizations get the furniture and supplies they need.

Why would a business consider making an in-kind contribution?

  • ReSource provides free pick-up service for donations
  • Donating saves a business money by reducing disposal and warehousing costs
  • ReSource is a 501(c)(3) organization, so a donor is eligible for a charitable contribution deduction, subject to appropriate laws
  • Surplus furniture, equipment, computers and supplies are recycled directly to the nonprofits that can use them
  • Reusing equipment reduces the impact on the environment

Items which ReSource has placed over the years include office furniture, computer technology, office equipment, overstocks, building materials, kitchen/bathroom fixtures and cabinets, office supplies, personal care products and novelty items.  The list goes on and on!

Contributions to ReSource

While in-kind contributions are the engine that drives ReSource's success, support from foundations, grants, and individual donors serve the vital function of assuring that we can continue to provide goods to nonprofits for a fraction of their market value.

Does your nonprofit need affordable, quality used furniture, office equipment, and other materials?  Would you like to get these used-but-usable items at an average of 10% - 20% of the market value?

To become a member of ReSource, an organization must be considered a 501(c)A(3) tax exempt organization, school or religious organization.  An annual fee is required based on an organization's annual operating budget.  For example, a nonprofit with an annual budget up to $100,000 pays $35, while an agency with a budget exceeding $5 million pays $135.

Our hundreds of members can attest to the value they receive by being a member of ReSource.
